Art & Painting Group Meets every Wednesday in the Clubs Annex building at 9:30 am.
A programme is devised each quarter which includes a variety of items. Sometimes we draw or paint indoors, sometimes we take our materials to the harbour or the beach. At other times we venture further afield to visit galleries in Whangamata or Whitianga. At least once or twice each quarter we invite a professional artist from outside to hold a workshop. Experienced members of our own group willingly share their expertise with novices and we welcome visitors. We hold one or two exhibitions each year at Easter and/or Labour weekend and several of our group exhibit in the Summer Expo in the Shopping Centre in early January which features over 20 artists from all over the
