It has been a good year and we have welcomed 9 new members this season.

Pauanui Bowling Club 2 Day Classic (played since 2003) winners are: John McConnell, Graham Bowers, Grant Moran, and Gerry Wright. This is the 3rd time this team has won the tournament since it began.
Runners up this year were another local team: Des Paton, Anne Jeffries, Derek Davis, and Ron Jeffries.
Thank you to all the Bowlers attending from various Clubs, inluding: Rotorua, Tauranga, Coromandel, Whitianga, Thames, Whangamata, and Tairua.
RESULTS OF PAUANUI BOWLING CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS 2016-17 SEASON
The 2016/17 Bowling season was again most successful but came to an abrupt end with the arrival of Cyclones Debbie and Cook with our Club and other local Clubs having to cancel tournaments.
We did however manage to run our Closing Day Tournament on Monday 10 April sponsored by Snowdens Menswear, Thames and this too was shortened by rain. In the evening our Annual Dinner & Prizegiving was held at The Pauanui Sports & Recreation Club – a most enjoyable event. Awards were presented as follows –
Womens Open Club Championships:
Singles – Isabel French.
Pairs – Heather McConnell & Anne Jeffries.
Triples – Heather McConnell, Judy Hill & Isabel French.
Fours – Heather McConnell, Anne Jefferies, Judy Hill & Isabel French.
1 – 2 year Singles – Nicole Mathews.
