COVID-19 Update:

Pauanui Sports and Recreation Club Covid 19 update

Under the regulations implemented by the Government in the new COVID-19 Protection Framework under the Traffic light Orange, the Pauanui Club will be requiring everyone on the premises to be fully vaccinated, for your safety it is also mandated that all staff on the premises be fully vaccinated which will be implemented.

People entering the Pauanui Club will be required show their Vaccine Pass before entering the Club.

The Board wishes to reassure its members that it is committed to providing and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all people who enter the Club or use the Club’s facilities or amenities.  With that in mind, we will implement the following guidelines as an interim measure whilst we await Government mandating and rulings:

  • It is preferred that if you are 12 years of age and over and wish to enter the Club premises you are fully vaccinated.
  • It is preferred that if you are 12 years of age and over and you wish to use any Club facilities or amenities such as the Bowling Green, Golf Course, Men’s Shed, club lounges, you are fully vaccinated.
  • Taking precautions and following other public health measures (such as mask wearing and physical distancing which are reasonably practicable to protect members and visitors who use the Club’s facilities from exposure to communicable diseases) as mandated by Government will be observed.

The Board will not be introducing any further policy around vaccinations until such time as a clear mandate is introduced by the Government. Members will be advised in advance of this occurring and formal notices will be distributed and displayed.

Instead, we are simply advising members that this is the Club’s preferred policy introduced with good intentions to protect the people within the Pauanui Sports and Recreation Club fraternity and the community at large.

Please note that our approach is based on information currently available from the Government.  The Club reserves the right to amend our position as we learn and understand more about how New Zealand manages the fight against Covid 19 in our communities and workplaces.

President Pauanui Sports and Recreation Club
